What material are these made from?

is it plastic?

Thanks for your question! The handles and arms are injection molded POM (acetal). The screws are stainless steel, and the bases and boosters are aluminum.

Screw size

Are these screws M6? Because I saw in other topic that was M5 was wrong and you will fix the correct size.

I’m sorry you’re upset. Just so you’re aware, the clamp set is included with the Carvey toolkit, not the X-Carve toolkit. The full sentence on this page reads: “Please note that many of these parts are in the toolkit you get when purchasing a Carvey.”

However, you did order a clamp set with your X-Carve. I’ve sent you an email with more information, as the clamp sets are currently on backorder and your clamp set has not shipped yet. I am very sorry about this, but rest assured the the clamps will arrive soon. I’ve shared more information in the email I sent you.

Hi Javier,

As long as your threaded inserts are the standard inserts that accept M5 screws, these will work!

Hi Gary,

Unfortunately, the slots in the clamp arms are specifically designed for M5 screws, and will not work with the M6 screws you are using. You may want to design your own clamps with a slightly larger slot.

Delivery

Why does it take a month to deliver these? I ordered on Dec. 4th and emailed why it was taking so long? I was told that the shipping ream was behind on orders. Why is my order less important and I’m scheduled to get it a month after buying? Is this going to be a constant issue? And are you going to try and make this right? I plan to upgrade to 1000mm, but if this is the service I’m going to receive I’ll go with another brand. You need to take steps to alert buyers of delays.

Rather high delivery to Aust

Are you really serious charging $72 to deliver a $35 item to Australia? That is $107US which then costs me $174 Aus for something you charge $35 for. Please tell me it isn’t so and that there is a cheaper way to do this, please cause that is terrible

Your shipping costs are ridiculous

$20.08 to ship about a pound of M5 bolts and aluminum blocks… I know the world is spoiled by Amazon but this is an utterly ridiculous rate which either means your carrier hates you or you don’t know how their API works.
