How long was the carve and what bit did you use?
Michael Aikey
@Michael Ailey - The cut time can range anywhere between 4-6 hours or so depending on your feeds and speeds settings, and I normally cut plywood for the mass majority of my projects which I use a downcut bit on, you get nice crispy clean lines with those bits on that material.

Also, this project was designed as a pretty big piece, You can modify its size slightly without losing any details to make it smaller which will also reduce cut time as well. Hope this helps. If you open the project you should get an estimated time in how long it’ll take to cut on the lower right.

Thanks, Andrew. BTW, is there anyway to "invert" it? I'd like to have my stars carved in instead of raised up which would also require the stripes to be inverted from what they are.
Michael Aikey
@Michael Aikey- All you have to do is select all of the stars and change the cut depth to what you want, then change the cut depths of the other portions you want in the background the same way. If the rendering doesn’t look right, select what looks wrong and under edit send it to back.
Drew
@Michael Aikey- Give that a try and if you have any trouble with it or need anymore help with anything else let me know with another comment and I’ll see what I can do, cheers. Allso post pictures after your cut so we can all see how it turned out, I have yet to cut one myself, haven’t had time!
