Notes

Quick and easy project.

  • Scrap Wood works great for this project!
  • 1/2 inch material works OK; 3/4 inch material works better for this application.
  • Sand. Chamfer the tong ends to your desire while sanding.
  • Finish with food-safe “Salad Bowl / Wood Bowl” oil.

Some may find it easier to cut this in two cuts (inner cut and outer cut). I have provided “inner and outer cuts” pages of this project. For those cutting in two passes, cut the inner first, then cut the outer (using previous XY zero).

In my photos, I used Canary Wood for some and one in Hard Maple (Inventables).
