My first carving project, received my Carvey the other day. Wife asked me to make nameplates for Thanksgiving dinner after our trip to the craft store (big mistake!) The wood is Mahogany from my scrap pile, thoughts? Finish with mineral oil or keep bare wood? I like both ways….

Nice name Tags, What font and what bit did you use?

David I used the Lavenderia font and a 1/32 bit to engrave the names. I used a scroll saw to cut them out individually and a random pattern. Knocked off the edges with sand paper. By the ways saw your step stool, My dream truck is a ‘35-‘36 Ford, you have good taste!
