You have the "ER-11 Collet Nut" but I understand the spindle includes at least one plus the 1/8" collect. Is this just an extra one? In that case I would suggest buying two extras so you can have one for bit shank size.
Brian Boatright
Bart Dring
Brian, The nut is totally optional, you don't need any extra ones, but I suppose you are right, if you want the extra nut(s) to save time, you might as well buy two. I changed the quantity. Bart

Hi, can you tell me when the power supply for this upgrade will be in stock? Thank you.

I would also like to know.

Is this as powerful as the rotary tool that comes in the Full Kit? Does it have any limitations on speed, materials, etc?
Matt McNamara
Bart Dring
The rotary tool is about 175watts. Power is proportional to the wattage. We sell several wattages of this spindle starting at 300W. The RPM of the rotary is about double that of these spindles. High RPM helps with very small bits, but we have had no trouble doing fine work with these spindles.

How many db does this spindle put out?

Hello, What is an estimated weight of this upgrade pack? nanda

If I add closed loop speed control to allow running at lower speeds for some operations, I'm concerned about cooling under heavy load, since the fan would run slower as well. Adding an outboard fan shouldn't be hard and seems like a good idea. Do you have any comments or suggestions about this?
Jim Williams
Marc Schaefermeyer
Dumb question Bart... how did you insert the "links" in your Instructions section?
Marc Schaefermeyer
Dejan Cvetanovic
Does it mean that I don't need the relay? Instructions call for relay but not listed here in BOM.
Dejan Cvetanovic
Dejan Cvetanovic
I guess relay only for controling via arduino.

Manuel Huerta
Bart, do we need the second item ER11-A Collets Nuts and Wrenches?, because it says only fits 400 and 600 Watt Quite Cut Spindles, and you have 300W. Thanks.
Manuel Huerta

The power cord listed has pre-stripped ends. (for the power supply screw terminals, right?) So they would not attach to the included "Power Entry Module,"? So: we should either remove the PEM, or switch the the power cord to the one with an end on it. Right?
