Cut out the house

The house can be cut out on a 3D carver (CNC mill) or on a laser cutter. If using a 3D carver, you can click the “Open in Easel” button above to carve the house in Easel.

If using a laser cutter or CNC software other than Easel, you can import the Illustrator or SVG file above into your software.

Cut the house out from the Black and Silver Glitter Acrylic Sheet shown in the bill of materials. Keep in mind that glitter acrylic is a little harder to cut through than normal acrylic. You might want to slow your laser or mill down a bit. In my Easel project I lowered the feed rate to 20 in/minute. When laser cutting, I ran my machine at 20% speed with 2 passes.

Print the letters

Using the provided STL file, print the letters B-O-O on your 3D printer using the Neon Orange filament shown in the bill of materials. The print only took about 45 minutes on the UP Plus printer at Inventables.

Attach letters to house

Using scissors, cut out small pieces of the suction cup tape and apply sticky-side down to the back of the letters. Then use the suction cup side to arrange them on the house however you wish.
