Before we start carving we first have to glue de 2 mdf pieces together over night.
We will begin by cutting the top part of the stand:
Start by securing the glued piece of mdf to the X-Carve using a couple of screws.
The piece of wood has to have at least 300mm x 500mm x 12mm.
The first carve will be using a 90° 1/4in (6mm) V-bit to create a chamfer on the piece.
On the rest of the pocketing and cutting programmes a 1/8in (3mm) double flute bit is used.
Stand Legs:
For the Legs secure the plywood piece piece with 300mm x 500mm x 12mm and carve using the 1/8in(3mm) double flute bit.

This is a great project to build on a weekend with family or friends. If you build this project please experiment using different materials/colours either for the legs or the top shelf.
As a Portuguese Maker I will like to try doing mine with coloured mdf for the top shelf and cork for the legs, but do feel free to experiment with different materials and also tweaking the dimensions of the stand to fit your desktop setup if you use two monitors.
Hope you liked building this project, if you would like please share with the #makerØ would love to see some of the results!
