Thank you for this!!! I just got my XCARVE today (finally) and wanted something to do as a test-carve... and since I have all these clamps and accessories, it is PERFECT to carve this design to keep it all organized. THANK YOU again! :)
Galen Stevenson
Your so very welcome Galen. I wanted to make this right away but I ended up getting to busy making signs for my B&M business. So finally I got around to making this tray. I had a friend tell me this was next level OCD.:) So welcome to the club and enjoy your Xcarve. Happy cutting...

By the time this gets to the 3rd clamping tool, its already shoved my bit up into the collet, and from there, it keeps making things more and more shallow. Any idea what I can adjust to make this stop happening? I have went through 4 boards now trying to cut this design out.
Zach or Sarah Harner
I just gave this cut a shot and all of my shapes wound up about .050 too small.... Can anyone give me some advice on how to remedy this?
Chris Zeppieri
Thank you for this, I should have my first machine up and running tomorrow and this will be my first project. :)
Brian Fleig
thanks for the design worked out well
Brett O'Neal
this didn't work out to well for me. I used the exact measurements and hardly any of the holes were big enough. They were slightly too small. Thanks though
Chadwick Kyle
I am super excited, I ordered my Xcarve this morning and this will be my first project!! Cant wait to get everything and set it up!! This community is awesome!!
Zach hall
Thank you for this. I received my X-carve this past Wednesday and can't wait to start using it.
John Putz
Thank you for this design! I just got my X-carve yesterday and this was the second project I did. turned out great.

Some people are having trouble with the tool bit holes being small. It will not hurt to select them and make the size .15inch. This will give plenty of room for your tool shank.
Matthew J. Parker Sr.
How do you select the holes to make them larger?
Also, how do i lengthen the holder for my calipers? It is about an 1/8 inch too short.
Yep. I’m a newbie.

I did a partial sample then a text file that I wanted to do then I made one of these. It shows me how much slop I have in my setup. Will tighten everything up then remake this with better wood. Used pine board I had so that may have added to the slop. Thanks to those who put this together.
Randall Hebert
I cut this a couple days ago...no luck my supplies did not fit into any of the slots. Only the calipers fit and the wedges... :(
Shannon Smolinski
Carved this whole thing out and most of it is too small to accept the parts. Is there an updated version?
Eric Humbert
the depth of the cuts was not consistent. I had to go in and manually reset cuts for some of the pockets. it left out all of the holes for the clamp screws.
Randal Mansell
everthing fits quite snugly. thank you for sharing. no need to widen anything.
Vijay
Hi Matthew, did you use any special software to scale the objects? Im currently trying to foam inlay my tools, but pictures aren't to scale. Thanks
Brian Shinta
Brian Shinta I just used easel to adjust the size to fit my tools.
